Woman sitting alone by a lake, reflecting on infertility and pregnancy loss

Infertility

I remember sitting in the lobby of my crowded fertility specialist’s office one day wondering, “Why aren’t we all talking to each other??”  We had this incredibly daunting, painful thing in common and yet sat quietly waiting for our names to be called for yet another appointment. Infertility requires an incredible amount of time, attention and resources, thus making it an often all-consuming process. My desire is to create a space for women to share their unique experience of infertility and the accompanying emotions, while focusing on maintaining a balanced sense of self.

Pregnancy Loss

The ambiguous grief related to pregnancy loss or pregnancy after loss can feel unbearable and incredibly lonely. Many women feel a profound loss of innocence, and reactions from friends and loved ones aren’t always the most supportive. You aren’t alone. In fact, it’s estimated that 1 in 4 women experience pregnancy loss at some point. I believe that where there is love, there is loss, regardless of how long you knew or how far along you were. Your baby and your grief matter.
